About COMPASSION WAY KIDS
Compassion Way Kids is the child sponsorship arm of Compassion Way, a 501(c)(3) organization headquartered in Chesterfield, Missouri that supports fruitful ministries and humanitarian projects in developing nations. Founded in 2015, our initial focus has been to support a large group of indigenous churches in India and in the adjacent nation of Bangladesh that have been impacting their region in amazing ways for twenty years through humanitarian aid, training, child & adult education, fostering business start-ups, providing water & lights for villages, etc,. Our founder and several board members have been involved with this ministry since its inception in 1998. Our long-term goal is to facilitate expansion of this initiative in India and to identify fruitful projects in regions beyond . Over the years churches in India supported by Compassion Way have launched dozens of programs and initiatives to help the poor & marginalized, including hosting two Child Development Centers in partnership with the largest and perhaps the most respected child sponsorship organization in the world. Unfortunately, in 2016 this U.S.-based sponsorship organization lost its ability to operate in India leaving 130,000 children without support including those in the two centers hosted by our partners. We have neither the resources nor the calling to address this tragedy on a national level but we asked ourselves how we could help mitigate the impact among our partner churches. In November 2017 we launched a child sponsorship program, Compassion Way Kids focusing on the two most at-risk groups of children among these churches, initially about 250 kids who have unique limitations and profound need.
